Double-Six Solitaire
A downloadable game
Do you have a set of double-six dominoes on your house and are looking to try a new solo game experience? Try your hand on this twist on the classic dominoes game that transforms the table into a strategic battleground: Double-Six Solitaire!
You play seven tiles each turn, but here's the catch: only connected groups score, and unplayable tiles come back to haunt you with negative points!
Strategize your placements and maximize your largest clusters to claim victory. Easy to learn but endlessly engaging, Double-Six Solitaire is perfect for a solo game night!
Setup
- Shuffle all 28 tiles face down.
- Draw 7 tiles.
- Place any tile from your hand to the play area. Moving forward, you must play a tile from your hand with at least one side matching one already in the play area.
- If there are no matching tiles available, place it in the Discard area.
- When all 7 tiles are played, draw another 7 tiles.
- Repeat until all tiles have been played.
Scoring
Find the largest contiguous block of that value and multiply it by that point value (e.g. five 3s make up the largest contiguous block of 3s, making 3s worth 15 points (5 x 3 = 15)). Do this for the 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s.
Penalty
Sum the value of all sides on all discarded tiles. These are negative points.

Hello! I wonder if I missed a rule or if I had a lot of luck when drawing tiles, but the game did not feel challenging at all? Here a photo of my table at the end. No discarded tiles Thank you for this solo domino game! I Don’t know many games that use them 😄
