Goal

Monsters are a picky bunch. Seat them around the dinner table in the best arrangement to score the most points.

Setup

  • Shuffle all the cards.
  • Deal 7 cards face up in a horizontal row to form the Dinner Table. Place them in the “Waiting” position.
  • Deal 2 additional cards face up above the table. These are in “Standby” and can be swapped into the table later.
  • You're now ready to begin seating monsters!

How to Play

  • Each monster card has a Power.
  • When you use a Power, flip that card upside down to mark it as “Seated.”

The game ends when all 7 monsters at the Dinner Table are Seated.

Powers

Each monster has a unique Power it can use while still in the Waiting position:

  • Swap with an adjacent card of the same color.
  • Swap with an adjacent card of a different color.
  • Insert into any position at the table. It must be a different position.
  • Swap with a card exactly two spaces away. This cannot be used if the card is not exactly two spaces away.

Important: If a Power cannot be successfully used, you must flip that monster over. It is now Seated but worth -1 point.

Example: If a card’s Power is to swap with a same-color neighbor, but no such card is adjacent, you must flip it.

Hi! The no bleed pages are corrupted or something in the zip file? I tried opening them in Mac OS preview and it didn't work.

Oh I'm an idiot! I uploaded the raw Affinity Photo files and not PDFs. I fixed that now. Thanks for the heads up!

Haha, happens to the best of us. Files are good now. Thank you.

Question, about: "If a Power cannot be successfully used, you must flip that monster over" -- this means if you can't use a power before the end of the game, then you flip it, right?

To clarify, it's if you can't use a power by the end of the game. The "swap with a same-color neighbor" or "swap with a different-color neighbor" are the ones that cause this issue. So in this case you either flip it over or try to exchange it with one of the 2 waiting Monsters in hopes of something good.

Excellent, thanks!
