Monster Parade
A downloadable game
Once a year, the dungeon hosts a Monster Parade. Unfortunately, it’s very bad at it.
In Monster Parade, two players race to get rid of their monsters by sending them out in order restricted by a constantly changing Parade Size Limit. Play a monster that’s too big and you’ll have to pause the parade. Play the same monster twice and you trigger an Encore, choosing whether to lock the limit or roll for a new one and continue your turn.
It’s fast, tactical, and full of small, meaningful decisions. Chains are possible, but risky. Big monsters are powerful... until they aren’t. First to empty their hand wins.
File includes individual cards, A4 sheet, Letter sheet, and rules.
Setup
- Shuffle the Monster deck.
- Deal 5 cards to each player.
- Place the remaining cards face-down as the Monster Line (draw pile).
- Roll the die. This is the Parade Size Limit (d6).
- Place a face-up Parade Route (discard pile) nearby.
- The player who last saw a parade goes first!
Objective
Be the first player to get rid of all the monsters in your hand.
Turn Structure
On your turn, you must either Send a Monster or Pause the Parade.
