The story so far...

You've just landed on Mars for your week-long vacation and set up your home away from home. Before you can really get settled, small asteroids start falling from the sky and spell impending doom on your R&R as well as your life. The transport doesn't come back until the end of the week, so it's your job to survive the rest of the week. Can you continue to set up walls, avoid the asteroids, and stay alive? You have a strange feeling this is corporate's way of telling you, "you shouldn't take vacation."

Build Four (4) Walls

Place a Wall by drawing a square on any free space on the game board.

Scoring Habitable Areas

A Habitable Area is one that is completely surrounded by Walls. Diagonals are not required. Mark each Habitable Area square with diagonal lines. Each square inside a Habitable Area scores 1 point.

If a Wall has been destroyed, the squares in that Habitable Area are no longer scored until the destroyed Wall is surrounded again.

A destroyed Habitable Area square from an asteroid is not scored.

Drop Asteroids

Assign each d10 to be the horizontal and vertical on the game board. Roll 2d10. Drop an asteroid on that square. Mark that square by filling it in completely. The number of asteroids dropped is noted on the current day you are on (e.g. 2 asteroids on day 3).

If the square is already filled in, expand the asteroid damage to the squares above, left, right, and below. Expanding the asteroid damage does not chain, meaning expanded damage does not trigger another asteroid damage expansion.

Bonus

After all 7 days have been completed and the last asteroid has been dropped, calculate your score one more time without building any Walls.
